Driving in Costa Rica Made Easy (Well... Easier)

Saturday October 25, 2008
Navigating a foreign country's roads and regulations can be daunting. In Central America, driving is especially tricky, since many roads are unpaved and even strewn with potholes. That's why I encourage anyone planning a Costa Rica trip to check out Your Travel Map: an interactive Costa Rica route planning map by Tecno Alianza, a company based in San Jose.

With Your Travel Map, you can pinpoint your exact travel itinerary in Costa Rica, with driving times, directions and distance. It's like Google Maps for Costa Rica travelers. You can even include information about surf spots, national parks, car rental agencies and more before printing it out. It's available in Spanish and German as well as English. Best of all, the Costa Rica map is completely free. Take a look!
