I love backpacking. I do. My most memorable trips to Central America and beyond have all been with a backpack strapped to my back. I love paring down what I bring. I love traveling on a budget -- seriously! -- and hanging out with like-minded, like-budgeted travelers all over the world. Most of all, I like discovering off-the-beaten-path Central America destinations where a suitcase just isn't as practical.
