Located right in the center of the isthmus, Nicaragua and Honduras are the two largest countries in Central America. While they share some cultural similarities, they also home to many entirely unique attractions -- like the Copan Ruins and Bay Islands in Honduras, or Ometepe Island and colonial Granada in Nicaragua. Best of all, due to the Central America Border Control Agreement (CA-4), travelers can venture between the countries for 90 days without dealing with immigration formalities at the borders.

If you're traveling to Nicaragua, Honduras, or both, consider bringing along a comprehensive guidebooks in your backpack or suitcase.
