Roatan is the largest of Honduras's Bay Islands, and the most popular with travelers by far. It attracts all travel types, from cruise ship passengers (it's a frequent stop on Central American and Caribbean cruises) to luxury resort travelers to backpackers (although the majority spend their time on the neighboring Bay Island, Utila). Roatan also boasts some of the world's best Scuba diving and snorkeling.
