By now, there are numerous luxury resorts in Belize, but take it from me: Ka’ana stands out. Unlike the sprawling resorts of Costa Rica – or even San Pedro on Ambergris Caye – the Ka’ana Resort truly embodies the most stylish term in the travel lexicon, “Boutique”.
In what way? Essentially, all of them. With just fifteen rooms, this Western Belize hotel boasts a limited occupancy that makes every guest feel elite. Accommodations, in rooms or private cottages, are top-quality, and offer not just modern amenities but also ultra-modern: flat-panel televisions and iPod docking stations. The landscaped grounds burst with tropical color. Private guided tours are available to every Cayo attraction, from the Maya ruins of Xunantunich and Caracol to the Jaguar Paw Resort near Belmopan.
