It's crucial not to feed to monkeys in Manuel Antonio National Park, or in any other Costa Rica National Park. The park is home to howler monkeys, white-faced monkeys (capuchins) and desperately endangered squirrel monkeys. By feeding them, humans place the animals at risk of a whole host of problems, like high cholesterol, heart disease, and other life-threatening illnesses. This isn't just a suggestion -- feeding monkeys is against the law.
