July is smack in the middle of Costa Rica’s rainy season. However, storms often start later in the day, after a morning of sunshine.

    Lows of 62ºF

  • Manuel Antonio (Pacific):
    Highs of 87ºF
    Lows of 69ºF
    Average Rainfall: 18 inches
    Humidity: 88%
  • Limón (Caribbean):
    Highs of 88ºF
    Lows of 71ºF
    Average Rainfall: 16.8 inches
    Humidity: 89%
Costa Rica Events in July:

  • Virgin of The Sea: On the closest Saturday to July 16, the beach port city of Puntarenas celebrates the ocean with fireworks, music, dances, and parades of boats through the Nicoya Gulf.
  • Guanacaste Day: July 25 marks the day in 1824 Guanacaste was annexed from Nicaragua. The holiday commemorated the region’s entry into the union.
