In October, Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast averages more rain than any other time all year. The Central Highlands are also rainy, though the Caribbean experiences less rain than usual.

    Lows of 60ºF
    Average Rainfall: 13 inches
    Humidity: 86%
  • Manuel Antonio (Pacific):
    Highs of 86ºF
    Lows of 71ºF
    Average Rainfall: 25.35 inches
    Humidity: 89%
  • Limón (Caribbean):
    Highs of 87ºF
    Lows of 71ºF
    Average Rainfall: 8 inches
    Humidity: 87%
Costa Rica Events in October :

  • Carvinal: On October 12, Limon erupts in festivities to celebrate Dia de la Raza, or Columbus Day. The week-long celebration is distinctly Caribbean, with parades, concerts, dancing, and an endless supply of Caribbean cuisine.
