There are hundreds of islands in Central America. They range from huge islands, (like Roatan and Ambergris Caye) with expansive permanent populations, to tiny islets home to little more than a palm tree or two. There are Central America islands on both coasts -- the Pacific and the Atlantic (Caribbean) -- though many more on the Atlantic side.
