Blue and Yellow Macaw - Macaw Mountain

Poor bird! This Blue-and-Yellow Macaw is wearing a collar because he's stressed out. While the collar might seem to add to his stress, it's necessary: stressed macaws often pluck out their feathers, as well as the feathers of other birds.

As pets, Blue-and-Yellow Macaws are one-person birds. In the wild, Blue-and-Yellows are just as loyal -- they mate for life.
