Boquete enjoys much better weather than steamy Panama City, but a dip in one of Valle Escondido's swimming pools is always enjoyable. The resort's 39 rooms are designed with 17th century Spanish pueblos in mind. Amenities include flat-screen cable TVs, private terraces and coffee makers stocked with Boquete's famous coffee. Guests interested in more amenities or extended stays can rent a two-bedroom condominium or a three-bedroom villa.
As with many resorts of this size, a number of incidentals cost extra at Valle Escondido, like in-room internet (it's available for free in the lobby) and DVD rental.
