Harpy Eagle

Kirsten Hubbard
The beautiful, beautiful harpy eagle is one of the largest species of eagle. In the wild, harpy eagles eat opossums, sloths and even monkeys. Behold those talons!

Harpy eagles are indigenous to Central America (including Belize), and the northern part of South America. Unfortunately, they're endangered -- primarily due to habitat destruction.
